Earlier today the site for the upcoming European Riichi championship 2013 was opened. It will be the third tournament to carry the prestigeous task of deciding the best of Europe.

The tournament will take place in Austria between 18th to 22nd of September 2013 and is organized by mahjong club Great Dragons. Acting as the venue is Schlossberg Vineyards in Bad Vöslau, just 40 kilometers from the city of Vienna. The entry fee for the tournament will be 100€ and will have 10 han-chan sessions. The number of participants is limited to 80 and player quotas for each country will be announced at a later date. There is also a team tournament before the invidual tournament. Rules of the invidual tournament and the team tournament will be announced shortly.
