On our old, old site we had a full tutorial to join and play on Ron2. It’s been a few years since they changed the layout and all the pages, so we’ve got a new tutorial started (finally). I’ll put up a new piece to the tutorial every week, so you may not be able to use everything all at once, but hopefully this will get everyone started and back online! There are tons of reasons to use Ron2 as your primary online Reach Mahjong venue. Read our old review here. Let’s get started. First, you’re going to have to sign up for an account. This page explains the different types of accounts.
The biggest reason though, is that there are a lot of pro’s playing during “premium time” 4 days per week, especially yours truly (Jenn) and Garthe.
BTW, I haven’t checked the links in this post yet, but I’ll do it once it’s published.

Types of Membership:
There are 2 types of memberships in Ron2:
-Premium Member (Paying member that can use all Ron2 services) *And also play in MONTO TV x Ron2 Qualifying tournaments!
-Free member (A free member limited to 6 months that can only use limited services)

Ron2 is only recommended on computers running Windows.
After making sure you can use the software, we recommend signing up for a paid membership (Premium, 4-Player or 3-Player Membership).
A. Premium Member:
Premium members are special paying members that can enjoy all Ron2 services.

The membership fee is 1008 yen for 30 days with unlimited play.
You can pay by credit card (there is also a list of other payment options only offered in Japan is also included).

D. Free Membership
A free member has limited access to services free of charge.
When effective period of paid membership (premium, 4-player or 3-player) has expired you will automatically become a free member.
The following restrictions are applied to free members
-Cannot use Ron2 League, Special Floor or Event Floor
-Play in Free Battle Room is allowed, chat during play is allowed.
-1 game per day in 4-player East-only Ron2 Dojo or East-only Reach Battle is allowed.
-1 game per day in 3-player 2-red table or 4-red table is allowed.
-Only games in Free Battle Room may be observed.
-Chat in Free Battle Room while observing is not allowed.
-Chat room feature is not available.
-Only most recent game is viewable in hand history library.
-Free membership period is 180 days from day membership begins. At expiration, all registered information will be deleted.
-If membership is upgraded to paid membership (premium, 4-player or 3-player) during this 6-month period, all data from previous paid membership will continue.

Paid membership will transfer to Free membership under the following conditions:
-In the event that automatic credit card payment fails.
-In the event that paid membership period ends.
