Gemma’s Journal #18: The Aftermath

Don’t forget – if that tournament left you hungry for more, sign up for a ReachMahjong.com meet up on ron2.

It’s been a week since the first European Riichi Mahjong Championship. You’ve all had a week to reflect on the championship and we’re asking for your opinions!

What did you enjoy best about the championship? What do you think could have been improved?

How do you think your game went? What did you learn?

Were you surprised by the strategies of your fellow Europeans? What did you think about the playing style of the non-Europeans?

What could we learn from our fellow players?

And even more exciting, what do you think of the future for Reach Mahjong in Europe?

In the absence of Yakitori Online (we’re working on it!), post your comments below. If you feel you have something to say that might require more than a comment box could accommodate, then send it to me ( gemma-at-reachmahjong-dot-com) and if it’s good, I’ll post it up as an article!

Don’t forget – if that tournament left you hungry for more, sign up for a ReachMahjong.com meet up on ron2. (If you’ve missed the deadline for this one, look out for our next one in the coming week.) If you’re feeling more adventurous, consider the World Series of Mahjong. Details here, and all inquiries should be directed to Jenn at jenn-at-reachmahjong-dot-com
