Jenn’s Corner: Book Corrections |

First of all, thank you to everyone who bought my book. It was a 2 years project and all of the positive feedback and support has been extremely encouraging. We all want more players and more places to play Reach Mahjong and hopefully this book will help take a few steps in that direction.
It is my first book and the first edition and inevitably, a few places were overseen in the edit. Thanks to the help of loyal readers 5 of these have been brought to my attention and I’ve addressed them all below. Hopefully this will clear everything up and make the book even more useful.

Page 202: Hand Point Quiz #5 Answer

The answer says 3 HP: Seat Wind (1), Full Straight (2), but there should also be a Half-Flush (3) for a total of 6 HP.

Page 202, Hand Point Quiz #6 Answer

The answer says 6 HP: Red Dragon (1), Green Dragon (1), Mixed Outside Hand (2), Small Dragons (2), but there should also be a Half-Flush (3) for a total of 9 HP.

Page 202: Hand Point Quiz #9 Answer
The answer says 4 HP: Concealed Self-Draw, Pure Outside Hand (3), but it should read: Concealed Self-Draw (1), Three Concealed Sets (2), Pure Outside Hand (3) for a total of 6 HP.

Page 202, Hand Point Quiz #14 Answer

The answer to Question #14 on page 76 has been omitted. The answer should be:

3 HP: Inside Hand (1), Peace Hand (1), 1 Lucky Tile (1)

Page 202, Scoring Quiz #5 Answer

The answer says 4,000 each (dealer: 40BP, 4HP)

It should be: 4,000 each (dealer: 40BP, 5HP)

Page 204: Quiz 8: Getting Ready #2 Answer

After the 5-dot should include the 8-dot, so the answer is:
1-dot, 2-dot, 4-dot, 5-dot, 8-dot, 9-dot

Page 205: Quiz 9: How Many Away 1 Answer
It says 2 Away from Ready, but it should be 1 Away from Ready.

Page 205: Quiz 10: Getting Ready #2 Answer

After the 2-crak and 3-crak should include the 5-crak, so the answer is:
2-crak, 3-crak, 5-crak, 8-crak, Green
