You mean Saki Achiga-hen, right?

It's a spinoff series with 16 episodes full of story and less mahjong until you hit 8th or 10th episode... I liked it. The designs and color are closer to the manga than the first season.

Did you see Saki Zenkoku-hen?

It's the third season. This season goes back to Kiyosumi. I loved it, and again the designs and colors were closer to the manga. Way cooler for me.

No, I haven't seen that either. Just the original series of 25 episodes.

In that case, you could watch it. You might like them.

You can find them at Crunchyroll, for example.

Crunchyroll subs were at least decent for those two new seasons.

The first season subs were subpar if we talk about the game's terminology...
The translator did what he could, or so I think.

He/she improved in the season 2 and 3.

Referring back to the post on the previous page;
http://reachmahjong.com/en/forum/viewto ... 195#p59773
Level A-1 has arrived. 4 Red Fives in every suit. Yikes!!
Noten Renchan is in effect, Agari-yame is not. Dai Wareme is now in effect.
Playing Hanchans with these optional rules in effect makes it very tough to make any consistent progress up the ladder.
16 Dora to start, 20 with a riichi win, maximum CPU level, Big Wareme, double/triple Ron, one bad game and back down to the previous level you may go. Very frustrating. Still, it is a challenge.
Well, it took 199 matches, and many, many setbacks, but I was finally able to reach the top of A-1 with a total of 8876 rank points.

I was curious to see what happens if you go higher but I got pushed down again. These are the kinds of hands you have to contend with. Fortunately, this one was mine.

I recuperated and went over the top. OH NO!! ANOTHER LEVEL, S LEAGUE, HOW CRUEL!!

This level has 20 players instead of 40 but the top spot is 2787 points above me.
THIS IS GOING TO TAKE FOREVER!!
Table fee is now 150 points and the rank conversion factor is .005
The only rule change is Dōkasen wareme instead of Dai wareme.

THIS IS GOING TO TAKE FOREVER!!
Obviously, I exaggerated a bit. It took 47 Hanchans. The runner-up ended with 11,577 rank pts.
I had 11,732

The hand that put me over the top was a nice ryanpeikou, and surprisingly, without a single dora or red five.

For those that might be curious, here are a few final stats from my 13 level, 246 game marathon.

It will take a long time for me to reach the top in that game. I'm starting to struggle a bit in B league... I have no worries. Enough play time will lead me there, I suppose...

I'm not super avid mahjong player, but I'll conquer the S.

Just keep at it. The last levels with all those red fives and wareme rules can wipe you out in one hand. Serious defense is the name of the game or you have a lot of 4th place finishes.
The opponents riichi fast and furious. The onslaught is ferocious. Try not to get frustrated. Good Luck!
I got addicted and couldn't put the game down. It ended up like this:

need a little help, from Onsen Mahjong;
First 2, similar, but not exact.
Next, something about 15000 pts, I think.
Last, the blue ovals, of 11 games, 7 were in #1, 3 in #2, then 1, then zero. Not sure why?
also not sure of the 2nd line of text. Thanks

実績達成!!/Achievement Unlocked!!

フリーモード1位数20回/Being 20 times 1st in Free Mode
フリーモード対局数30回/Playing 30 games in Free Mode
麻雀力15000以上/Having a Mahjong Strength of 15000 or higher.

Results of the Arcade (Story) Mode.

You can select each one of these (blue ovals) matches to see your best results:

一回戦/First Match
二回戦/Second match
三回戦/Third Match
最終戦/Final Match

When you select one of them, you can see:

Top Line:

対局数 X 回/X Times you've played (that match)
最高点数 X点/Highest points you've got (on that match)

Lower Line (Numbers here will not change if you select different matches):

クリア回数 X回/Times you've cleared the Arcade Mode
ハイスコア X点/ (Overall) Highest Score

(Seems to me that this refer to the highest points you've got in a whole Arcade Mode play, be that from the 1st Match to the Last Match, or wherever you were defeated, so I wrote "Overall".)

Onsen Mahjong
クリア回数 X回/Times you've cleared the Arcade Mode
The above finally went from zero to 1, and this appeared. Not sure how I did it, and naturally, don't know what it says. Have an idea, but still curious.

In Mahjong Grand Prix, I've reached the A -3 league. Got hit and went down, I had to climb a bit to be A-3 again.

Things are quite hard, with hard-hitting opponents. They're better than me.

Seems to me that, at this point, climbing up will be like a rollercoaster, going up and down a lot.

I know how you feel. Wait until A-1. The wareme rules make it extremely tough, especially the Dai (big) Wareme. The rule states that " since the dice total will always be an even number this effect can only ever be applied to players in the north and south seats", but trust me, no matter where you sit, if you deal into that player, you will feel the effect., and it won't be pretty.

This appears on the screen in the game 麻雀の神2 〜麻雀グランプリ〜/Mahjong God 2 〜Mahjong Grand Prix〜 only when you win a match in free mode.

Has anyone ever seen a calculation like this in any game where you multiply the winning point total by the CPU level? (or know of its use or significance).
A translation of the 1st word is appreciated.
