What is "Okkake Riichi"?

Hey all.
Quick question - what´s Okkake Riichi? I came across the term while translating the stats in Mahjong Fight Club.
It took me some time to figure out the kanji (I really need a high-def TV!) and now I´m still stuck... I know what it says but not what it means!
I only get two hits in English on Google searching with both \"riichi\" and \"reach\". One is Poochy posting his MFC DS stats on this site and the other is David H´s blog (it´s a small world!) but neither gives an explicit definition.
An online dictionary defines Okkake as either a chase scene or a groupie, both suggest chasing/following... Is it when you call riichi after another player has already reached?
