scoring in tenhou

Hrmmm. you think you got the scoring down and this happens.

How did this happen? I have 8 yaku but isn\'t that baiman? 8000? (possibly 16k for being east?)

8han = baiman 16k/24k (24,000 when you are east)
baiman is \"double limit\" and limit is 4000 for east and 2000 for others
so double limit is 8000 for east and tsumo gives 3x8000=24000
+1000 for one riichi stick and 300 for one renchan
so 25,300 all together

ah thanks. I got it now!, I\'m following this table I got and it confused me abit.

double limit is 8000 for east
Actually it is double limit for the oya (dealer) which happens to be the same on the east round.

By saying "east" I mean player that is east wind, so is dealer. Round wind have nothing to do with getting more points for dealer (who is playing at east wind seat)
