I cannot believe I missed a potential rare hand!

Well, there was a person who had a title of Dai Sharin in my table in JRM earlier this week, and in one of the hands, I had a lot of Manzu pairs, and virtually no terminals among those.

For some odd reason, the Dai Suurin possibility escaped me and for some reason I wound throwing an uuwan and a chiiwan to set up a chinitsu waiting on iiwan, suuwan or paawan - had I kept those and threw out an iiwan and a third suuwan from my hand, I would have been waiting on a ryuuwan for dai suurin, since a lot of the sanwan, ryuuwan and chuuwans were being thrown out - and I might have likely gotten a dai suurin for at least sanbaiman.

Dai Suurin is basically Dai Sharin with Manzu tiles - it isn't recognized as a named yakuman by many places, but still scores sanbaiman at least just needing 2 more han to make it a counted yakuman anyway.

The Souzu equivalent is Dai Chikurin, again not recognized as a named yakuman by many places.

Condolences for your missed Dai Suurin.

I must say I'm amused that your post is 80% English and 20% Japanese.

Meh, lucky for you Janryuumon only recognizes daisharin in pinzu.
