Probably the 1-man here. It\'s pretty early in the game, so that should still be safe. The 8-pin can be kept as a safe tile against the player across, but the 9-pin probably should come out first since it\'s unlikely that another player will want/take it (it\'s the dora indicator, all of the 8-pin are gone, and player to the right discarded ends to start). 4-man can be used as a safe tile against the East player, and 5-pin is safe against the player across.
After the first 1-man I\'d discard the second immediately and probably follow with 9-pin. It\'s early, but there are already two possible threats, so a men tanpin is probably the best idea (you\'re not short for points either).
