hello everyone. i am new here and happy to be here. i am new to mah jong, but i love it. i was just wondering if there are any online tournament videos, or videos of people playing. i found three on vimeo, and a couple on you tube, but is there any other sites with videos of tournaments or things like that? thanks.

not taht i know of but i do beleave taht they have all of the pro tournys recorded... im guessing that its on a japanese site if anything, like there version of ESPN. but ill look around and see what i can find
(also ive been playing a week or more myself)

You can try NicoNico Douga, but it's in Japanese and you have to register. There are many pro videos about mahjong, and even full final stages of tournaments, payperview and otherwise. It's important that you make a -tag- search for "プロ麻雀" rather than a keyword search, as you will get better results imo.

Also, this site links to many other sites (mainly niconico and a few other video sites) and has a great variety of full sessions, even some new ones like Battle Royale 2010:
