No Oregon this summer. My group will just have to get along without me.
(Might have to change my name from or2az to
az2az ,........ nah, doesn't look right).
Going to spend the next few months in Payson, AZ, a small town of 15,000 people at an elevation of 5,000 ft (1524 m) in the northern Arizona mountains.
Placed this notice on bulletin boards all over town including the library, supermarket, pizza place, rv parks, and the community and visitor centers.
Also posted this on the Facebook community news page.
So far, I have taught 3 ladies, one total newbie to mahjong, one that plays American with a group in town, and one that has played the Taiwanese version (17 tiles) but does not want to play American.
We have our 1st get-together this Friday.

Re: oh boy!
Well, 3 months have gone by and another city now has a riichi mahjong group. Ended up teaching 5 ladies and we have been playing regularly twice a week. Hope they can keep it going when I'm not around in the winter.
Have to go, it's Friday........Mahjong day.
