Re: PAX East
Hi Gemma!
My friend Shawn and I played with you on Saturday night at 9pm. I have my book and am scouring my house to find my set. Please let me know if you know of any groups in the NW area of New Jersey.
Thanks again!

Re: PAX East
Hey Gemma,
I played with yourself and Garthe and a few others every day at Pax. I'm looking to connect with the crew that meet in NY as that is the closest too me. Who should I contact? I'm also looking for some sites to play online if you have any recommendations.

Re: PAX East
The two main online places are Tenhou and Ron2, and while sign up is in Japanese for both there are also guides helping you through the sign up process available. And of course you're always welcome to ask here for help as well.blaplante89 wrote:I'm also looking for some sites to play online if you have any recommendations.

Or maybe dressed up as the bird?
EDIT: I need to read a bit more carefully, I read your statement as "Mahjong Cosplay" rather than with anime in it. I still like my idea though :p

Re: PAX East
Hi all!
Thanks for the replies!
@Bob - dave [at] uspml.com runs a group in NY so you should definitely contact him. (He's also the proud owner of that auto table!)
@Kenya - I'll go through my contact list and see if I can find someone to help you out.
For online play, Jenn or myself can help with ron2. There are also plenty of English tenhou guides out there.
Thanks for coming again guys! We didn't expect the turn out to be as good as it was.

DragonKong.com and MahjongTime are both English language online riichi mahjong sites, and if you're chatty like me, you can also chat with the other players at the table.blaplante89 wrote:I'm also looking for some sites to play online if you have any recommendations.

Heh I know that feeling. I usually get it at work on days I go to the parlour afterwards. It's like: I get to play later which is great, but I want to play NOW!blaplante89 wrote:Ahhhhhhh I have the itch. Gimme tiles......NOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW *throws table out window*

Re: PAX East
Hey there Gemma! Just wanted to thank you for taking the time to talk to me at PAX. I finally made it back to Canada with my Beginner Set and Jenn's book, and I'm hoping to rope my friends into playing our first game this weekend. Hopefully they are as interested in it as I am!
